there was a dinner and dance by MPA, and well, i was kinda obliged to go, not that i dont want to of course, haha. it turned out pretty alright i guess, just that i still kinda felt a bit left out because of the gang of them who were quite close, like zhangrui, raywen, darrick, catherine and some other peeps, but ohwells, they worked tgt and stuff so i guess its natural, yup.
well, i had shaojie, alexandra, siewmin and ben, so i was quite fine too i guess. food was alright, loved the dessert though its damn common - yam paste with ginko nuts, haha. the performances was alright and ppl were quite high, but thats about it. drank about three glasses of red wine, and my face went really red, and i decided i really cant hold my liquor well, lol. utter failure, haha.
went home pretty late cause we kinda hung out for a while at timbre, and i drank sprite! haha, dont like alcohol lah, haha.
i think i'll forge stronger friendships when i start interning bah, if i even do intern, lol.
scholars are still humans, they have flaws too. some are nice and sociable, others adopt a different approach. there are segregations amongst them too, split into different leagues and cliques do form. i have a feeling some of them dont really like me, but i'll be contented with whoever's left i guess.
