thailand has been nothing short of eventful, other than the endless hours spent in our heat-trapping, poorly vandilated bunk about 10 miles away from the canteen, lol. sounds oxymoronic yea, but seriously, whatever I experienced there was more interesting than in Australia last year :)

lived in the wilderness with a random guy named HanWei. self-absorbed, insensitive and manipulative bitch who thinks that friends are umimportant in his life. Despite the vast difference in personalities, we managed to get along pretty well, haha. From him, you can see the typical rich kid who eats at the canteen almost ALL the time, yet there's another side of him that one can't figure out at first glance. I guess thats what makes him unique in his own way and bearable at the same time. nonetheless - irritating.

worked with several commandos during the exercise period and I cant exactly say that they fit the bill of 'muscles in the brains', probably cause they are from the junior batch and not feeling the bonding and belonging as of yet. talked with weekiat quite a bit and realized that there's one blinding fact that most tend to overlook, and that is that no matter what, they are humans too and not the macho and unintelligent stereotypes that we make them out to be. sad thing is that we went our separate ways after the mandatory cooperation, im guessing friends isnt an available option.

for this trip, i brought quite little with me but spent most of it on gifts for others, thus earning the nickname of 'Santa Claus' from my friend. food for thought: placing yourself before others, there's no guarantee that others will place you anywhere near the front. but the thing is that i cant help it. same applies to being as asshole. the harsh realities of life will come, and what decisions will i make then? ahhh

as for the dance that the seniors are preparing for the upcoming concert Reverie, im not too happy with the dance, the person in-charge of the dance and i think it'd be a flop. ohwell, i dont really care too much though, as can be seen from my lack of practice, haha.

random facts:
i suck at any type of electronic games - esp counterstrike
met weixun from xms and zhihao from tjc during my stay there
thailand is suffocatingly hot - and that is an understatement, haha
i saw flocks of ducks, herds of poultry and drove against the traffic legally. confused? haha
roadside stalls taste pretty nice, not to mention CHEAP, heh.
i got my first ever heat rash, lol
watched movies (mysterious skin, the ugly truth, lord of the ring, time traveller's wife, etc.) and TV series (the mentalist, how i met your mother, gossip girls, big bang theory, californification) some disturbing, some enjoyable, go figure.

3 weeks came and went and now im jerked back into my real life, and have been here for around a week now. bittersweet feeling really. the habitual, routine schedules of mine arent exactly what i would consider exciting but the near primitive lifestyle of thailand isnt exactly what would suit me in the long term either.

whatever the case, welcome back jonathan
